How do we link our two accounts?
One of you creates a shared code — twelve characters, like
K7M2QX9RJ4TP — and sends it over. The other enters it on the
linking screen, and you're connected. It only takes one code between you;
you don't each need one.
You shouldn't need to type it out. In Settings, tap the code to copy it or use
the share button to send it straight into Messages — your partner can paste it
in. It's case-insensitive, and the letters I, L, O and U and the digits 0 and 1
never appear in a code, so there's nothing ambiguous to mistype.

Can I use Duette on my own?
You can create an account and set up your profile on your own, but Duette is
built for exactly two people. Daily photos, memories, the shared calendar, and
lists all need a linked partner before they'll do anything — the app will ask
you to link first.
How do I sign in?
With your email and password, or by using Apple or
Google. Whichever you pick, use the same one every time —
signing in a different way creates a separate account rather than finding
your existing one.
Forgotten your password? Tap Forgot password on the sign-in
screen and we'll email you a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within a few
minutes, check your spam folder.
We linked to the wrong person by mistake
It's fixable. Either of you can unlink from Settings, and then you're both
free to link again with the right code.
Worth knowing first: unlinking separates your accounts, so anything you built
together stops being shared between you. If you've already added memories or
photos with the wrong account, email us before you unlink and we'll talk it
through.
